HD Hyundai Infracore announced on Thursday, June 20, 2024 that it has recently received an order for 39 Develon large excavators from Türkiye's Ministry of National Defense.

This order includes 34 units of 38-ton excavators and 5 units of 50-ton excavators—for a total of 39 units— which are scheduled to be delivered to the Türkiye’s government by the end of the year.

This marks HD Hyundai Infracore's first-ever contract with the Türkiye government, which is a significant achievement as the company overcame the Türkiye's domestic industry protection barrier to win the bid.

For years, Türkiye's construction equipment market had been dominated by local brands due to tax incentives and other benefits offered to domestically produced equipment. However, the competitive edge of Develon in engine power and fuel efficiency, coupled with its customer-tailored marketing strategy, led to the successful signing of this contract.

HD Hyundai Infracore is building on the momentum of this recent contract win to enhance its chances of success in the upcoming tender from Türkiye's Ministry of National Defense.

"We have bolstered our brand recognition in the market of Türkiye and gained a solid foothold to participate in government tenders actively. Our goal is to expand our market share by leveraging Develon's technological superiority and quality to build trust with our customers from Türkiye," an HD Hyundai Infracore official said.

Türkiye is rapidly emerging as a major export market for HD Hyundai Infracore. Last year, the company signed a KRW 313.1 billion contract to supply next-generation tank engines to local defense company Bemeze (BMC), and it is currently supplying power generation engines to four major Türkiye’s generator manufacturers (Aksa, Teksan, KJ Power, and Alimar).

Powered by "HYUNDAI" engines, generators manufactured in Türkiye are being exported to Europe, Middle East, and Africa, contributing to the expansion of HD Hyundai Infracore's engine sales and brand recognition.
